May be diluted with RC701/RC702 High Compatibility Thinner or other thinners intended for lacquer based paints.
Used for painting vehicles and other equipment of the German Army from July 1937 until July 1940 as a primary camouflage color (supplemented by RAL 7017 Dunkelbraun in accordance to the official regulations; however, it appears that many military vehicles were painted in Dunkelgrau only already during the Polish Campaign).
From July 1940 until February 1943 used as the standard overall camouflage color.
